SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
British musician, DJ, and producer Dave Watts, who was part of the Anglo-Pakistani group Fun-Da-Mental, passed away this Sunday in Tenerife, the island he called home with his family and where he worked as a music creator and artist.
The family has already conveyed this unfortunate news to their friends via a written message shared on social media platforms. In this note, his wife, Beatriz López, mentions that “life invariably presents us with the most heart-wrenching news to share with others, as true as our own existence which continues to resonate with the rhythm of daily life. Today [this Sunday], not long ago, Dave, Dave Watts, D. WattsRiot, KingLMan, or the member of Fun-Da-Mental has departed from us. He said farewell, undoubtedly ahead of the countdown.”
The same personal notice further highlights that “regardless of how they came to know him during his life, he was consistently filled with bravery, music, vibrancy, kindness, and love, as he was always, and will forever be, aligned with the finest causes.” His life concluded earlier than we would have wished, but now our duty is to embrace the challenging journey ahead and to strive, with resilience and discernment, to preserve all his goodness, his artistry, and his musical heritage, and primarily the enduring flame of his affection.”
Dave Watts’ remains now rest at the Mother of the Redeemer Shelter in El Sauzal, “prior to his voyage to the universe, where he will share all that music he holds in his mind and heart with those who have gone before him.”
The family also announces that the farewell mass will be held this Monday, 28 October, at 12:00 p.m. in the church of San Pedro in the same locality.
