‘TLP Tenerife’ Sets New Attendance Record with Over 62,000 Attendees and Reaches 1.1 Million in Revenue

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –

TLP Tenerife 2024 achieved a record attendance of 62,535 individuals at the Fairgrounds from September 3 to 8.

This was declared on Friday by the president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, who emphasised the remarkable success of this edition, which attracted numerous enthusiasts of technology, innovation, the Asian culture, manga, anime, cosplay, and video games.

“TLP Tenerife has made a triumphant return, and we have done so impressively, reaching a record number of participants. It is a significant success for the organisation as it was scheduled for an unusual month like September, yet it is clear that people were eager for the event to resume. We are already planning for the 2025 edition, set to take place from July 15 to 20,” Dávila noted.

The Cabildo president also highlighted the employment of 600 individuals during the event, stating, “These figures are crucial as such events stimulate the economy and create opportunities for our youth.”

In this context, she remarked that “55% of the hires were women, and all management roles were occupied by women,” as well as noting that 10% of those employed were individuals with disabilities because TLP Tenerife “includes everyone.”

Rosa Dávila further indicated that the campaign had nearly 70 million total impacts, yielding a return on investment in advertising of around 950,000 euros, representing a 27% increase in sponsorship investment.

“We have surpassed expectations, and this is a victory for the entire TLP Tenerife team,” she asserted.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Innovation, Research, and Development, Juan José Martínez, highlighted that “the event generated significant economic activity, with an average of 5,356 euros and a daily turnover of 821 euros for shops and artists, respectively.” He added that “the local businesses saw a turnover of 1.1 million euros during the six days of TLP festivities.”

The director of TLP, Idaira Febles, conveyed her delight “because organising the event again was a challenge, particularly in September,” expressing gratitude for the “effort” made by the entire team.

Febles explained that these outcomes serve as an encouragement to prepare for the next edition, scheduled for July next year, stating, “It is a significant challenge, but there is optimism about once again delighting all TLP followers.”
