Tenerife Set to Welcome the 10th National Sinapsis Congress This November

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 29 September (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government, through the General Directorate of Mental Health and Addictions of the Canarian Health Service (SCS), collaborates with the San Miguel Adicciones Association and the University of La Laguna (ULL) to host the X Congress National Sinapsis, themed ‘A decade of resilience, commitment and growth’.

This latest edition, set to occur on 14 and 15 November in Tenerife, aims to serve as an inclusive and educational platform where experts, professionals, researchers, and advocates in mental health and addictions can exchange knowledge, investigate innovations, and collaborate in pursuit of effective solutions in this field.

Thus, the event will be accessible both in-person and online, ensuring that all interested parties can engage through one of the two formats. Registrations are currently open on the website congresosinapsis.es/inscripcion.

The general director of Mental Health and Addictions of the SCS, Fernando Gómez Pamo, is among the participants in this gathering, which will cover topics such as intervention during a suicidal crisis, addiction prevention among the elderly, and the impact of drugs along with their usage and abuse, especially regarding prostituted women.

Over the span of two days, discussions will also include the initial psychotic episodes within a judicial measures centre, support for homeless drug addicts, ADHD and its relationship with addictions, as well as the issue of bullying in educational settings.

Additionally, Pedro Martín Barrajón, the coordinator of the National Network of Psychologists for Suicide Prevention, will also be a speaker at this national event.
