La Orotava once again welcomes visitors to its rich history and heritage with the third edition of the Heritage Trivia, a virtual event organised by the City Council through the Cultural Heritage and Citizen Participation Department, led by Delia Escobar.
This virtual quiz will be available from 31st October to 18th November and promises an enriching experience for those eager to delve into the natural, ethnographic, documentary, artistic, popular, archaeological, and historical treasures of the municipality.
Moreover, those who successfully finish the game will be entered into a draw for a night at the Parador in Teide National Park with breakfast and either lunch or dinner included.
How to get involved and win a unique experience on Teide
Accessing the Heritage Trivia is straightforward: interested individuals need only to visit the page https://patrimonio-laorotava.routingtales.com/ where they will find a game format akin to classic Trivial. Each themed category, marked by a specific colour, consists of four questions with three possible answers. At the end, players will be able to see the correct answers and continue engaging with other themes. Those who complete all categories by earning the “cheese” for each theme will automatically be entered into the draw for a night at the Parador del Teide.
The mayor of La Orotava, Francisco Linares, has conveyed his pleasure at the success of this initiative, stating that it “brings local heritage closer to residents and visitors in a fun and interactive manner.” The quiz not only serves as an educational tool for disseminating the municipality’s cultural wealth but also allows participants to uncover fascinating facts and details about La Orotava that they may not have previously known.
Delia Escobar, the Councilor for Cultural Heritage and Citizen Participation, remarked that this edition continues the trend of its predecessors, which enjoyed significant participation, attracting over 1,200 players in total. “This initiative has demonstrated its effectiveness in promoting La Orotava’s heritage in a fun and accessible manner for everyone,” Escobar noted. “In addition to its historical context, the quiz encompasses various heritage fields, enabling players to experience La Orotava from multiple angles.”
Rules and details of the draw
For those wishing to take part in the draw, it is crucial to complete the game and register an email address, as this will serve as the primary means of contacting the winner. The terms and conditions of the draw are detailed on the Trivia platform, where further information about the prize and steps for securing participation is provided.
With yet another edition, the La Orotava Heritage Trivia continues to bridge the gap between culture and knowledge within the municipality through technology, fostering a connection between citizens and local heritage in a fun and educational setting.
