Tenerife Farm Hit by Massive Avocado Heist: 1,600 Kilos Stolen!

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26 Oct (EUROPA PRESS) –

Civil Guard officers from the ROCA Team, which is specialised in preventing and investigating agricultural and livestock thefts, have initiated inquiries into a resident of Tacoronte as the alleged offender in the theft of 1,600 kilos of avocados from an agricultural property situated within the same municipality.

Following the report of the aforementioned crime, the ROCA Team commenced an investigation that enabled them to gather requisite details and evidence to understand the modus operandi employed by the suspect, thus allowing them to identify, locate, and scrutinise him as the presumed perpetrator of the theft.

The individual under investigation, who possesses a criminal record for similar offences, lives close to the agricultural property in question; consequently, taking advantage of this proximity, he repeatedly observed whether the owner was present, seizing moments when the owner was absent to pilfer the total of 1,600 kilos of avocado.

The findings of the investigation have been forwarded to the Court of Investigation at San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
