The Council of Tenerife has enforced a restriction on climbing Teide on foot from 4 in the afternoon until 9 in the morning, following the rescue of 130 imprudent tourists. This regulation will be in effect for three weeks. Over the past three days, the frequency of evacuations has remained high. Three individuals suffering from hypothermia required rescue, including assistance via helicopter. Those who were rescued will be obligated to cover the rescue expenses, amounting to 1,800 euros each.
