Six Clubs Closed and 14 Detainees Arrested in Major Operation

Officers from the National Police have dismantled six locations involved in the sale of narcotic substances during various operations conducted in the southern region of Tenerife, leading to the apprehension of 14 individuals with varying degrees of involvement in these establishments.

The search and seizure operations at the premises were executed in collaboration with the Local Police, resulting in the recovery of 4 kilograms of marijuana, 500 grams of hashish, 213 grams of rosin (a highly concentrated form of hashish), as well as cans and vapour devices containing the same substance.

Additionally, authorities confiscated €11,815 in cash, two individual doses of crack, one gram of cocaine, 192 doses of nitrous oxide, vaping devices, and food items containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), as well as joint-type cigarettes, mobile phones, and various materials associated with weighing and distributing marijuana.

Two of these six locations had previously been shut down and sealed; nevertheless, they reopened without addressing the noted technical deficiencies, thereby jeopardising user safety and increasing the penalties imposed.

The individuals arrested have been presented to the appropriate judicial authority for suspected drug trafficking offences, and all the establishments were sealed by Local Police officers due to the significant technical shortcomings identified.
