SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 15 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Civil Guard, in partnership with the blood donation initiative, will have a blood donation vehicle from the Canarian Transfunctional Network stationed at the headquarters of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Command.
Civil Guard personnel, along with their families and friends, will be taking part in this charitable donation campaign tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday, aimed at promoting blood donation within this Institution.
This selfless collaboration underscores the Civil Guard’s commitment to the community, reflecting the Benemérito spirit of the Institution and facilitating the involvement of civil guards in an act of altruism. This effort aims to foster a greater sense of participation and raise awareness about the significance of blood donation.
The Command, in coordination with the Canarian Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), has successfully arranged this blood donation campaign, with plans to continue similar initiatives in the future.
Like other organisations, the Civil Guard operates under a Sustainability Plan. For the period 2021-2025, one of its key areas of focus is social engagement, which includes supporting vulnerable communities, promoting volunteerism, and forming partnerships for these objectives.
In this way, the Civil Guard encourages the public to donate blood as a voluntary and altruistic act, which may only take a few minutes but has the potential to SAVE lives.
