A cayuco carrying 51 migrants arrived at the port of La Restinga on the island of El Hierro this Wednesday afternoon, as reported by the Red Cross.
The vessel was spotted approximately nine miles south of the island, prompting another Maritime Rescue vessel to set off to meet it and escort it into the port safely.
The migrants received assistance from members of the SUC, Red Cross and Primary Care, and there was no need for a transfer to the hospital.
