The Tenerife Council through the Highways Department, has communicated a temporary alteration to traffic around the Father Anchieta roundabout in order to facilitate the assembly of a segment of the Trinidad Avenue ramp and the seventh module of the walkway that will become part of the Great Pedestrian Ring of Father Anchieta.
This undertaking will necessitate the night-time closure of two lanes at the roundabout, impacting access from the TF-5 to the TF-24 motorway towards La Esperanza, as well as to Astrofísico Francisco Sánchez Street and Trinidad Avenue.
Timings and diversions
The closures will be in effect from Monday, October 28, to Wednesday, October 30 during the night hours of 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m..
To alleviate the impact on traffic, alternative routes have been established: Drivers looking to travel from TF-5 to TF-24 and Astrofísico Francisco Sánchez Street should follow these routes: Lora and Tamayo, Mayber Street, Camino San Miguel de Geneto, Domingo González Pérez Street, and TF-265 in The Coromoto.
The Cabildo has urged motorists to exercise heightened caution when navigating through the affected region and to adhere to the signage and instructions from the Highway Area personnel to ensure road safety.
