SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 17 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 40-year-old individual sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the Northern Highway (TF-5), at the exit of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, leading to significant traffic disruptions, as per details provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place at seven in the morning, when the 1-1-2 operations room received a call informing them that a man had been hit on the TF-5, prompting Cecoes to swiftly deploy the required emergency services.
Upon arrival, the SUC personnel attended to the injured party and transported him in a basic life support ambulance, supported by a doctor from a medicalised ambulance, to the Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital due to several moderate injuries.
The local police managed traffic and compiled the report, while teams from the Tenerife Island Council’s Road Maintenance Service took responsibility for clearing the roadway.
