The National Police have apprehended a German national in Adeje (Tenerife) who was sought by his home country for allegedly committing a violent offence involving a knife, for which he was facing a sentence exceeding two years in prison.
The National Police disclosed in a statement on Tuesday that a request had been received at the end of August from the authorities for the identification and detention of the German national.
The officers possessed information indicating that he might be concealed in the Los Cristianos area, and following an investigation, he was discovered in a residence functioning as a cannabis club.
A surveillance operation was established around the property, where the agents observed in the late afternoon a person driving slowly who parked his vehicle in front of the house.
The officers recognised him, executed the arrest, and he was subsequently presented to the appropriate judicial authority.
