Daring Rescue: Four Hikers Saved in Separate Incidents Across Tenerife

On Monday, Tenerife’s Firefighters successfully rescued four hikers in distress across three separate locations on the island.

The first rescue occurred in the Barranco de Los Cochinos, located in Los Silos, where two hikers, having deviated from the trail, were unable to proceed independently.

Personnel from the Icod de Los Vinos unit responded to the call and found the individuals on the Monte del Agua path, guiding them back to the vicinity of their parked vehicles.

The second rescue happened in Santiago del Teide, where yet another hiker had lost their way and could not return to the Los Gigantes area.

This individual was found in a particularly rugged terrain, necessitating the deployment of a Maritime Rescue helicopter.

Additionally, in Santiago del Teide, Firefighters were called upon to assist another person who had strayed from a path in the El Retamar region. She was safely escorted to her vehicle.
