A 49-year-old woman was rescued on Friday after she fell into a hard-to-reach area in El Pozo de los Frailes, Candelaria, while paragliding, according to sources from 1-1-2 Canarias.
Personnel from the Tenerife Fire Service reached the site where the woman had landed, stabilised her and transferred her to a safer location.
There, professionals from the Canary Islands Emergency Service assessed her condition and conveyed her by ambulance to the hospital in Candelaria with several moderate injuries.
This incident marks the second injury from paragliding on Friday. The other affected individual was a 73-year-old man who sustained serious multiple injuries after colliding with a light pole in Valle Gran Rey, La Gomera.
