The Tenerife Island Council, via its Sports department, has initiated registrations for the ninth edition of ‘Tenerife Urban Dance’.
The island authority champions this event as the highlight of the ‘Tenerife Urban Programme’, which has been showcasing various urban sports disciplines across different municipalities on the island.
The Minister of Sports, Yolanda Moliné, noted in a statement that ‘Tenerife Urban Dance 2024’ is scheduled to take place on 24 November at the Santiago Martín Pavilion, expecting more than 500 participants from all age groups.
Moliné states that this is “an urban dance competition that has become a landmark event in the archipelago, having registered 498 dancers in 39 choreographic groups from Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, La Palma, and Tenerife in the last edition.”
Entry to the event is free and continues until the maximum allowable capacity of approximately 2,500 individuals is met.
The various participation categories include children, juniors, absolute, couples, and megacrew.
Registrations are currently open at https://www.tenerifeurbandance.com/inscriptions, with the rules available at this link https://www.tenerifeurbandance.com/bases.
As an exciting addition for this edition, the top performers in each category will receive complimentary registration for one of the premier urban dance events in the country, Urban Dispay 2025.
