SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27 Oct (EUROPA PRESS) –
Four men aged between 27 and 37 have sustained varying degrees of injuries following a road traffic incident that transpired this morning at the entrance to the Padre Anchieta roundabout from the TF-5, en route to Santa Cruz, within the municipality of La Laguna, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operational room received a notification indicating that a vehicle had crashed into a wall, necessitating medical assistance for its four occupants. In response, the Cecoes promptly deployed emergency resources to the scene.
Attending the incident were a medical ambulance and two basic life support ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), alongside the Civil Guard, Local Police, members of the Tenerife Fire Consortium, and personnel from the Cabildo de Tenerife’s Road Maintenance Service.
Upon arrival, the firefighters secured the damaged vehicle and extricated three occupants from within the cabin. The SUC staff assessed and treated all four individuals involved, one of whom was seriously injured and subsequently transported to the Canary Islands University Hospital, while the others were taken to the Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital; two with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.
The Civil Guard and Local Police managed traffic in the vicinity and conducted the necessary investigations, while the Road Maintenance Service team undertook road cleanup activities.
