VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), 21 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco transporting 62 irregular migrants reached La Restinga Pier last night on the island of El Hierro, as reported by the Red Cross.
The regular medical team for such incidents aided these individuals at the port upon their arrival at approximately 10:00 p.m. this Friday after being intercepted by Maritime Rescue.
All individuals appeared to be in good health, though one required transportation to a hospital on the island.
In the past 24 hours, 1,000 individuals have arrived in the Canary Islands, including 134 minors; combined with the arrivals since Wednesday, September 19, nearly 2,000 individuals have landed on the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and El Hierro.
